TILLY
Two years ago I adopted Tilly from MCR. She has been such a joy to watch her grow up into her sweet, curious, very smart, and sassy self. She had such a nice start at MCR, many thanks to Sydney and Nancy for the gentle methods used for her training. Tilly is eager to learn new things and picks them up quickly. We have focused mainly on non competitive work, mainly trail riding, horse camping, and pleasure riding and have started working on learning more trail obstacles. We will be trying some trail trials or working equitation clinics in the future. I am also going to start to introduce Tilly to horse archery. We may never do the high speed runs, but Iām sure she will do just fine and the walk/slow trot runs.
When I started looking for a new horse, a Mustang was not on my list. Let alone a 3 year old Mustang mare. I received an email from MCR about adoptions, which got me curious. After emails back and forth, I met Nancy at a cow clinic to meet another lovely mare. I was so impressed with her calmness, and willingness to work. Nancy and I talked, she is very honest and up front about the Mustangs at MCR. We decided that this mare was not the right fit for me, Nancy sent me information on two upcoming youngsters that were in training but not yet ready for adoption. Tilly was one of them, and 6 months later, I adopted her.
I am so glad that I took a look at that email and opened my mind to adopting a Mustang.
Looking forward to many, many years of riding and partnership with my sweet Mustang,Tilly.
