Meet juniper
sorrel mare, 15 H, DOB: 2022
BIO
Juniper is a four-year-old South Steens mare who joined MCR last winter. Clever and sometimes a little sassy, Juniper is already riding confidently both in the arena and on the trail. She’s learning body control and collection, and while she still needs more miles and experience, she can ride out solo or in a group—an exciting accomplishment for such a young mare.
JUNIPERS STORY
Juniper was rounded up and removed from the 130,000-acre South Steens Herd Management Area in Oregon about 70 miles southwest of Burns. She was purchased at auction after a training competition. Her adopter cared deeply for her but, due to life changes and financial challenges, she needed to find Juniper a new home.
